Prior to flag installation, a hole must be drilled into the brick with a hammer drill equipped with a masonry bit.
Things You Will Need
-
Measure and mark the location for flag placement. Make sure the location is on a brick surface and not in the mortar between the bricks. Adjust the location if necessary.
-
Place the tip of the masonry bit on the mark. Drill a hole or the required number of holes into the brick; make sure the hole or holes are large enough to accommodate the plastic screw anchor.
-
Insert a plastic screw anchor into the hole.
-
Line up the mailbox flag to the holes in the brick.
-
Insert the screw or screws in the appropriate locations and secure to the brick.
