Use a few common household items to remove dog urine from draperies.
Things You Will Need
-
Remove the draperies from the curtain rod and place them on a flat surface.
-
Blot a paper towel over the urine to soak it up. Do not rub as this only causes the urine to further set into the fabric.
-
Blot the stain with a wet paper towel to dilute the urine.
-
Sprinkle baking soda over the stain and allow it to penetrate the stain for two hours.
-
Vacuum up the baking soda.
-
Repeat steps 2 through 5 until the urine is completely removed.
-
Wash the draperies with liquid detergent if the fabric allows.
