Powerwash the walls. The cleaner they are, the better the adhesive will hold.
-
Measure the boards to fit on the wall. If necessary, cut them with a utility knife.
-
Apply Styrofoam adhesive to the non-foil side of the first board.
-
Install the board by pressing it firmly against the wall in the bottom corner. When installing the board, position it vertically.
-
Install boards along the bottom of the wall, using the same technique you used to install the first board.
-
Measure and cut boards to fit the second row.
-
Install the boards in the second row the same way you installed the boards in the first row but stagger the boards in the second row so the seams don't line up with the seams in the first row. Continue until the walls have been finished.
-
Place installation tape over the joints between the different insulation boards.
