Before you toss your favorite Sharpie-stained suede article out, with some good home cleaning tips, your stained suede can look as good as new.
Things You Will Need
-
Saturate a cotton swab with rubbing alcohol or hand sanitizer.
-
Dilute vinegar with equal parts of water to create an alternative natural cleanser. The vinegar may initially cause the suede to smell, but the odor will fade after a couple of days.
-
Blot the cotton swab onto the stained area, and the stain should disappear.
-
Use a white eraser or a suede stain-removing brush to rub on the stain until it is removed. Avoid using a colored eraser as it may deposit residue color onto the suede.
-
Take the suede article to a professional cleaning service if the stain remains.
