How to Clean a Kohler Tub

Perry Piekarski

With regular use, your Kohler brand tub will inevitably collect grime and stain. While you can rinse and dry your tub after each use to prevent this, eventually it will need a full cleaning. Cleaning your Kohler brand cast iron or acrylic tub without damaging the finish requires mild bathroom cleaners, soft cloths and brushes, and mild dish detergent. It won't take more than five to 10 minutes, depending on how dirty the tub is.

Cast Iron

Cleaning your Kohler tub varies depending on the tub's composition and its fixtures.
  1. Rinse the tub with water.

  2. Scrub the tub gently using a soft, damp cloth and a mild dish detergent. Clean using an abrasive tub cleaner when combatting more tenacious stains or grime. Don't use an abrasive cleaner on the slip-resistant surface at the bottom of the tub basin.

  3. Scrub the slip-resistant surface using a soft, nylon brush or a soft cloth and mild detergent.

  4. Rinse the tub thoroughly with water.

  5. Dry the tub thoroughly using a soft cloth.
