The Pampered Chef markets circular and rectangular baking stones in medium and large sizes. These baking stones are "seasoned" by oils from the foods you cook or bake on them.
Because dish soaps can seep into the stoneware, the company doesn’t recommend the use of soaps or a dishwasher to clean them. Instead, you just need to wipe your baking stone with a damp cloth before its initial use and following use thereafter.
- Scrape the food from your Pampered Chef Baking Stone with the nylon pan scraper that came with the stone and set the stone aside to cool.
- Wash the stone by hand with a hot, wet microfiber cloth.
- Wipe away the excess water with a cloth and set the stone aside to finish drying.
Never clean the stone until it has cooled completely. A sudden change in temperature, like applying a cool dishrag to a hot stone, could crack or break it apart.
