To save floor space, the Axxis dryer can be mounted on top of the washer -- or stacked -- by using a Bosch stacking kit. Repair or maintenance may require removing the dryer from the top of the washer.
Things You Will Need

Unplug the washer and dryer power cords from their electrical outlets. Place the dryer power cord over top of the dryer where it will not interfere with removing the dryer from the washer.

Slide the washer and dryer assembly away from the wall with the help of an assistant.

Loosen the screw on the clamp that secures the dryer duct to the back of the dryer. Pull the duct straight off the back of the dryer.

Locate the two metal mounting brackets on the back of the washer and dryer where the two appliances meet.

Remove the screws from the brackets with a nut driver. Remove the brackets. Set the brackets and the screws aside so you can use them to remount the dryer to the washer.

Lift the dryer straight up and off the washer with your assistant's help. Move the dryer to the side of the washer, and lower it to the ground.
The Drip Cap
- Bosch Axxis washing machines and clothes dryers are front-loading units.
- The Axxis washer and dryer can be installed as standalone units like traditional washers and dryers, and they can be installed under a counter top to give them a built-in appearance.
- Loosen the screw on the clamp that secures the dryer duct to the back of the dryer.
