How to Clean a Delta Kitchen Faucet Sprayer

A handy device in your kitchen is the Delta kitchen faucet sprayer. The high pressure sprayer can rinse your dishes with ease. Over time the faucet sprayer holes will begin to corrode with lime, calcium and rust because the water that flows through it has slight amounts of minerals in it and after awhile these minerals will build up and block your water flow in the sprayer. Cleaning the sprayer is fairly easy to do with the proper items.

  1. Fill a bowl will CLR cleaner. Set the Delta faucet sprayer into the bowl of CLR so the faucet head is completely submerged in the CLR cleaner. Let it soak in the cleaner for 5 minutes.

  2. Scrub the sprayer head with the toothbrush.

  3. Fill a bowl with vinegar, and set the Delta faucet sprayer into the bowl for 5 minutes.

  4. Scrub the sprayer head with the toothbrush.

  5. Rinse the sprayer off with water. Dispose of the CLR and vinegar by pouring it down the drain.

  • Wear goggles and rubber gloves just as a safety precaution.
