Unscrew the sink faucet nozzle. When you do this, you can see the spiraled ribbing on the faucet. You will then be able to attach the faucet adapter. To be sure you do not lose any pieces inside of the faucet nozzle, place a towel or cloth on top of the drain. That will catch anything that falls from the faucet. There are two types of adapters: one changes the nozzle aerator into a garden hose thread, allowing you to hook up your garden hose. This is the adapter you need. The other adapter is underneath your sink and actually connects to your refrigerator so that it can make ice and store water.
Screw the faucet adapter onto the faucet, and make it as tight as possible. The tighter it is attached, the less likely a leak will occur.
Attach the tip of the hose to the faucet adapter. Double-check that the gasket is in the tip of the hose before attaching it so you can ensure there will be no leaks.
Turn the water on low to make sure it does not seep out. If there are no leaks, go ahead and turn it on as high as you need it. Wait a few seconds for the water to reach the end of the hose before trying to spray it.
