How to Reset an Ionic Breeze
Most of the time an ionic breeze air purifier provides trouble-free operation. Turn the machine on, the power indicator comes on and negative ions weigh down impurities in the air, causing them to drop to the floor and leaving you with cleaner air to breathe. Occasionally, the blades require cleaning.

Things You Will Need
- Clean rag
- Liquid Castile or dish soap
-
Turn off and unplug the Ionic Breeze air purifier. Allow it to remain off for a full minute.
-
Remove the blades by pulling up the panel at the top of the Ionic Breeze unit.
-
Wipe the blades clean with a clean, soft cloth, barely damp with a warm soap-and-water solution, such as 1/2 tsp. of liquid Castile or dish soap in 1/4 cup of water.
-
Rinse off the blades under running water. Place them on a dry towel to air-dry overnight.
-
Reinsert the Ionic Breeze blades once they're dry. The blades click into place when the top panel returns to its position, flush with the top of the unit.
-
Pull up the wire cleaning bar on the top of the Ionic Breeze unit, located toward the back of it. Push it up and down into the machine to loosen particles. Reinsert the bar so that the top of it becomes flush with the top of the machine.
-
Plug the Ionic Breeze unit in and turn it on. If the clean light remains lit, reset the Ionic Breeze by pressing and holding down the power button on the top of the unit. Hold the button for a slow count of 30 and release it.
Tip
If the power light doesn't come on, check that the blades and the cleaning bar are fully inserted in the unit, as it won't operate until they are both correctly positioned. Don't reset the air purifier without cleaning it.
