How to Change the Time on a Sanyo Microwave

Joshua Duvauchelle

Sanyo is an international home appliances manufacturer based in Japan. The company markets a full range of kitchen appliances including microwave ovens. Like most microwaves, the ovens can heat or cook food and also display the current time on a digital display.

You may need to change the time on a Sanyo microwave to keep it updated with your local time zone so you can keep your kitchen schedule on-track.

How to Change the Time on a Keypad Microwave

  1. Plug the Sanyo microwave oven into a reliable power outlet. Fluctuating power can sometimes reset the microwave's internal clock.

  2. Press the "Clock" key on the microwave's front keypad.

  3. Touch the numbers for the current time. For example, press "2" and "3" and "0" if it is 2:30 a.m. or 2:30 p.m. The Sanyo microwave operates on a 12-hour clock and does not differentiate between morning or evening.

  4. Push the "Clock" button again to save the time.

How to Change the Time on a Rotary-Dial Microwave

  1. Open the microwave's door. Press "Clock" or "Clock/Kitchen Timer," depending on your Sanyo model.

  2. Turn the front rotary dial to the current hour. For example, turn the dial to "2" if it is 2:30 p.m. Press "Clock" or "Clock/Kitchen Timer" to save the hour.

  3. Turn the front rotary dial to the current minute. For example, turn the dial to "30" if it is 2:30 p.m. Press "Clock" or "Clock/Kitchen Timer" to save the minutes and shut the microwave's door.
