The Hoover SteamVac SpinScrub carpet cleaners are Hoover’s way of taking carpet cleaning to the next level.
The Hoover SteamVac SpinScrub carpet cleaners are Hoover’s way of taking carpet cleaning to the next level. The Hoover SteamVac not only injects hot water and carpet cleaner into your carpet—along with a powerful suction which removes the solution, dirt and allergens—but also boasts up to six SpinScrub brushes that rotate to help release deep-down dirt. Before using your Hoover SteamVac SpinScrub, you will need to assemble the handle and hose clip as well as the tool holder.
Assembling the SpinScrub Handle and Hose Holder
Unpack your Hoover SteamVac SpinScrub and place the parts around you, each part easily within reach. Remove the cleaning solution tank—located in the upper chassis—and set it aside. Position the cord and hose hooks toward the rear and slide the upper handle into the lower handle. Insert two handle screws through the front of the assembly and affix the matching nuts to the screws, tightening them with a Phillips head screwdriver.
Pick up the hose holder with your right hand and guide the hose holder tabs into the matching tabs located on the back of the handle. Place two hose holder nuts into the recessed spots on the back of the handle and insert two screws through the front of the handle, using a Phillips head screwdriver to tighten the hose holder to the handle.
Find the trigger located at the top of the handle and squeeze it. This will enable the trigger rod, which will snap when it falls into place. Re-insert the cleaning solution tank, bottom first, into the upper chassis and push the top of the cleaning solution tank until the cleaning solution tank handle clicks into place.
Attaching the SpinScrub Tool Holder
Unpack the tool holder and its single screw, and flip the Hoover SteamVac SpinScrub machine around so that you see the back of the machine. Match up the tool holder projections into the slots on the bottom rear of the machine. Slide the tool holder down and insert the single screw into the center of the tool holder, tightening it with a Phillips screwdriver.
Push the power cord into the power cord clip located on the left side of the handle and then begin wrapping the cord around the cord hooks until the power cord runs out. There are cord hooks located at the top of the handle beneath the trigger and another located on the tool holder itself.
Use the same technique to wrap the accessory hose around all of the hose hooks, being sure to start wrapping the hose in the front section of the hose clip.
Hoover SteamVac SpinScrub General Use
Remove the cleaning solution tank and fill it with hot water and the correct level of solution as indicated by the directions. Return the cleaning solution tank to the SpinScrub bottom first and then press in on the top until the cleaning solution tank handle clicks into place.
