How to Get Into the Service Mode of a Neptune Dryer
The Maytag Neptune dryer has a display screen that doubles as a diagnostic tool when the dryer requires servicing. The display screen shows error codes that help repairmen diagnose problems with the dryer. Unfortunately, if the repairman does not "exit" properly, the dryer might not operate.
You must get into the service mode of a Neptune dryer to exit correctly and get your dryer working again.
-
Ensure the Neptune dryer power cord is plugged into the outlet. Check that the unit is “Off” and not in a drying cycle.
-
Press and hold the “Signal” button and the “Temperature” button simultaneously for three seconds. Release the buttons when the display screen clears. The display screen will show a list of problem codes if any have not been cleared.
-
Simultaneously press the “Sensor Dry Level” and “Time” keypad buttons. Hold the buttons for three seconds to clear the list.
-
Exit the service mode by pressing the “Signal” and “Temperature” buttons for another three seconds.
