How to Make Homemade Concrete

Things You Will Need
- limestone
- metal trough
- water
- sand
- pebbles
Tip
Use in the garden, by making decorative sculptures, stones, a bird bath, or decorative paving stones. Measure the limestone by weight each time you make it and keep track of the durability of the results so you can make the perfect formula for your climate. Note the weather, too if you're using it outdoors. Cure times will vary.
Warning
Always wear gloves when you're handling the wet quicklime. That's why concrete is so drying to the skin.

Cook the limestones over fire, they will change completely, they will swell up, becoming less dense.

Allow the cooked stones to cool off completely

Pour water over top of the cooled stones and they will hiss and crack, the solid parts will turn into an absorbent powder. They will mush and then you're almost done making homemade concrete.

Add sand and small pebbles (but not soil) to the homemade concrete cement. Mix it all thoroughly.
