How to Clean a Softub Hot Tub
Softub hot tubs are portable, lightweight and more affordable than most traditional hot tubs. The hot tubs allow you to enjoy a relaxing spa experience indoors or out due to its easy setup and maintenance.
When your Softub hot tub becomes dirty or a film builds up on the liner from suntan lotion or body oils, clean it with mild products to restore its appearance. Clean your Softub hot tub three times a year to keep it looking and performing at its best.
Things You Will Need
- Submersible pump (optional)
- Bucket
- Mild dish detergent
- Sponge or cloth
- Garden hose (optional)
Warning
Don't use harsh or abrasive products to clean a Softub hot tub.
Don't allow the submersible pump suction tube to connect with the vinyl liner of your hot tub. This can void your warranty.
-
Turn off and unplug the Softub hot tub. Use a submersible pump to drain the hot tub indoors, according to the pump's owner's manual. If the Softub hot tub is located outdoors, disconnect the motor unit from the tub. The water will drain out automatically.
-
Fill a bucket with 1 gallon of warm water, and add 2 tsp. mild dish detergent.
-
Dip a sponge or cloth into the bucket, and wring it out. Wipe the inner liner of the hot tub with the sponge or cloth to remove any dirt or residue. Rinse the sponge or cloth in the bucket as needed.
-
Wipe the exterior of the hot tub with the soapy cloth or sponge. Rinse it in the bucket as needed to remove dirt or residue.
-
Empty the bucket, and fill it with clean warm water. Rinse the sponge or cloth in the bucket, and wipe out the inner liner and exterior of the hot tub to remove any soap residue. If you're cleaning an outdoor hot tub, rinse it with a garden hose and allow the excess water to drain.
