How to Clean an Ultrasuede Couch

Shelley Marie

Ultrasuede is a plush synthetic material designed to mimic suede. It's commonly used to make upholstery because of its unique characteristics and durability. Unlike natural suede, Ultrasuede resists wear, scratching, and fading.

Vacuum your Ultrasuede couch regularly to prevent dirt and dust from settling deep into the fibers, and spot clean it when spills occur. Proper care and maintenance will ensure your Ultrasuede couch looks and feels its best.

  1. Vacuum the Ultrasuede couch thoroughly with a soft brush attachment to remove any dirt or dust.

  2. Dampen a cloth with lukewarm water and wring it out. Wipe the Ultrasuede couch with the cloth to remove any stains or spills. Don't soak the material with water. Rinse the cloth with clean water as needed. Allow the couch to dry for several hours or overnight.

  3. Brush the Ultrasuede couch with a soft-bristled brush to restore softness.
