How to Get Rid of Bumble Bees Naturally
Named for their seemingly uncontrolled and “bumbling” flight patterns, bumble bees can be found across most of North America and less than 600 miles from the North Pole. Though bumble bees have a formidable stinger, as one of the most nonaggressive species of bees, they are generally reluctant to use it.
Things You Will Need
- 1 banana
- Knife
- 2-liter plastic bottle
- Mixing bowl
- Fork
- Funnel
- 1-cup sugar
- 1-cup vinegar
- Twine
Still, if the bees establish a hive near a home or garden they can become a nuisance and there are ways to get rid of bumble bees naturally, without using toxic chemicals.

Peel one large banana and cut the peel into 1/2-inch wide strips with a knife. Add the strips to an empty 2-liter plastic bottle.

Mash the fruit of the banana in a bowl with a fork. Mix 1-cup sugar and 1-cup vinegar with the banana.

Place the funnel in the mouth of the bottle. Pour in the banana mash mixture.

Tie a piece of twine around the neck of the bottle and hang it in a tree near where you have seen bumble bees. The bees will enter the bottle, attracted by the solution, become stuck in the sticky mash and drown.
