Simmer a saucepan filled with about 2 cups water to 1/2 cup white vinegar. Do this while you cook when you are preparing a meal that uses grease, and also use as needed to pull a leftover burnt grease smell out of your kitchen space.

Pour white vinegar into a spray bottle and mist throughout the kitchen. The vinegar spray will deodorize the air, removing the burnt grease smell instead of masking it.

Place about three bowls each filled with 1 cup baking soda around the kitchen to further deodorize the room. If the odor has made it into other areas of the home, place bowls of baking soda in these rooms as well.
