How to Repair a Maytag M7DH65B2A Dehumidifier

The Maytag M7DH65B2A is a dehumidifier used for drying out large spaces. It can store 65 pints of liquid, making it a relatively high capacity unit that can run in very wet spaces. If your M7DH65B2A is not functioning, a number of common problems may be at work. Any of these can be fixed by the average user and will not void the warranty.

Step 1

Be sure the device is plugged in properly.

Step 2

Set the desired humidity to 30 percent using the plus and minus buttons on the front. This puts it in continuous run mode so that it will keep going until you turn it off. If the humidity reader is what’s causing the problem, this procedure will get around the issue.

Step 3

Empty the water container at the back. Once it gets full, the machine will no longer work.

Step 4

Clean the filter by sliding it out from the left side and vacuuming it off. Once the filter gets too dirty, the machine will stop.

Step 5

Take the M7DH65B2A into a Maytag service center. If the usual troubleshooting steps do not fix it, the device likely has internal problems that will need to be looked at by a technician.
