Remove solid pieces of feces with a paper towel and place them in a plastic trash bag for disposal, or flush them down the toilet.
Make a mixture of warm water and 1 tsp. of clear dishwashing liquid. Pour the solution onto the carpet, and scrub it with a scrub brush.
Blot the area as you scrub, because the traces of feces will rise to the top of the carpet.
Repeat the same process if necessary to remove any leftover feces. Rinse the area with cold water.
Pour a mixture of one part white distilled vinegar to two parts water and pour it over the stained area if the stain is still obvious.
Blot the area and check for a remaining stain. If there is still a stubborn stain left behind, repeat the same steps until the stain is gone.
