Scrape away any of the substance that is still on the fabric. Be careful not to spread the stain.
Pour club soda onto the stubborn stain. This will keep it from spreading.
Add a few cups of water to a small bucket along with several drops of detergent. This cleaning solution will work for many stubborn stains. Use rubbing alcohol for ink or grass stains, shampoo for mud or makeup and WD-40 for grease or crayon stains.
Add some of your cleaning solution to a clean cloth, and use it to dab the stain carefully. This will move the stain from your clothes to the cloth. Rotate the cloth so that you're always using a clean area to blot the stain.
Rinse the clothes with cold water once you have removed the stain.
Treat the clothes with a pre-wash stain remover and wash in your washing machine with mild detergent. Allow it to air dry.
