Does the Weber Grill Cover 9935 Replace the 9857?

Weber offers five gas grill covers as of 2011: model 7552 for the Genesis Silver C; model 7553 for the Genesis E and S; model 7554 for the Summit S-400; model 7555 for the S-600, and model 7573 for the Spirit 200 and 300 series.

Model 9953

Each of the covers is compatible with a variety of Weber's discontinued gas grills. Covers 9935 and 9857 are no longer in production but are interchangeable with model 7573.

The Weber 9953 is a full-length, premium vinyl cover compatible with Weber gas grills in the Spirit E-300, Spirit 700, Genesis Silver B, Genesis 1000 and Weber 900 series. Weber discontinued the 9953, but the 7573 works in its place. Made from a higher durability vinyl, model 7573 is also compatible with gas grills in the Spirit 200 and 300 and Genesis Silver A series.

Model 9857

Weber's model 9857 cover is similar to 9935 in design but is compatible with a different variety of Weber gas grills, although some overlap. Like the 9935, the 9857 is a full-length, premium vinyl cover for Weber gas grills in the Genesis Silver B, Spirit 700 and Weber 900 Series. Model 9857 is also interchangeable with model 7573. Unlike the 9935 model, the 9857 is also compatible with gas grills in the Genesis 1 and 1100 Series.

Model 7573

In addition to its interchangeability with models 9935 and 9857, model 7573 also works with gas grills in Weber's new Spirit 200 and 300 series. Model 7573 offers heavy-duty vinyl construction, a fitted center and extra long sides for protection against the elements. In addition, model 7573 is interchangeable with model 7551, which fits gas grills in the Spirit E-300, Spirit 700 series, Genesis Silver B, Genesis 1000, and Weber 900 series.
