How to Clean Jet Tubs With Vinegar and Lemons
Jet tubs are very comforting, but they can also get very dirty. Soap scum can build up inside of the jets, and ultimately hurt their performance and efficiency. Proper jet tub cleaning will keep it running properly, and help you have a more relaxing bath.
Things You Will Need
- Vinegar
- Lemons
- Paring knife
- Towel
Although there are many types of commercial and consumer chemicals made to clean the jets, you can use a natural solution that works just as well and it will save a little money in the process.
-
Fill your tub with water. Be sure it is just above the jets. Pour a gallon of vinegar into the jet tub.
-
Cut four lemons into quarters with a paring knife. Squeeze some of the juices into the tub, and then place all of the lemons in the water. The acid in the lemons help the vinegar clean the jets. It also provides a great aroma.
-
Turn the jets on. Let the jets run for about 5 to 10 minutes.
-
Remove the lemons from the water, and drain. Take a towel that has been dipped in vinegar and wipe the tub and jets clean.
Tip
Do this about once a month, if you use the jets a lot. It is harder to clean jets if you allow them to become dirty. It is better to prevent the build up by cleaning them on a regular basis.
