How to Change the Blade on the MK-370 Tile Saw

Andrew Todd

The MK Diamond MK-370 is a diamond-blade wet-saw, designed for cutting floor tiles. The saw is useful for cutting angles and L-shape cuts as well as for cutting thin pieces off a piece of tile.

Wet-saw blades do not have teeth like traditional table saw blades or circular saw blades; rather, they have circular blade discs with tiny pieces of diamond embedded in them. The MK Diamond MK-370 saw blade attaches to the saw using a single nut; you can quickly remove it using tools included with the saw packaging.

  1. Unplug the saw's power cable from the wall outlet.

  2. Loosen the wing nut securing the blade guard.

  3. Loosen the blade guard retaining knob, then open the blade guard.

  4. Insert the shaft wrench onto the shaft, between the blade and body of the saw. The shaft wrench is used to hold the shaft steady so you can remove the outer flange and retaining nut.

  5. Loosen, then remove, the retaining nut using the blade wrench. Remove the inner flange under the retaining nut.

  6. Remove the blade, then install the new blade, ensuring that the arrows on the blade match the arrows on the blade guard.

  7. Insert the shaft wrench onto the shaft, between the blade and body of the saw, once again.

  8. Place the outer flange onto the shaft, followed by the retaining nut. Tighten the retaining nut using the blade wrench.

  9. Lower the blade guard back into position, then secure the blade guard with the retaining knob.

  10. Re-tighten the blade guard retaining wing nut to complete the installation.
