The only problem with natural sponges is that they become slimy when they get dirty. Cleaning restores them to their original state.
Things You Will Need
-
Measure out 1/4 cup of vinegar and pour it in to a bowl. Vinegar is a natural cleanser, making it perfect for your sponge. It is also good at eliminating odors if your natural sponge is getting smelly.
-
Fill the rest of the bowl with warm water. Stir the liquids.
-
Add the natural sponge to the bowl, making sure it is completely submerged. Let it sit for two hours before removing it from the vinegar water.
-
Wring out the sponge and then set it out to dry naturally.
