How to Make a Northface Jacket Soft Again
The North Face is a brand of jackets and outdoors items such as tents and sleeping bags. Their down jackets are known for being quite warm in the colder months. Although the jackets are made of good quality fabric and down, they may need some fluffing about once or twice a year if worn often.
Take care when washing down jackets and be as gentle as possible to avoid ruining the down.
Things You Will Need
- Non-detergent down cleaner
- Clean tennis balls
-
Pour a mild, non-detergent cleaner that is made especially for down into your washing machine and start the machine using cold water and set on a gentle cycle.
-
Place your North Face jacket, turned inside out, into the water and wash it.
-
Put your jacket into the dryer along with several clean tennis balls. Set the dryer on low and toss the jacket with the balls. The balls will bounce around the jacket, ensuring that it will become fluffy and soft once the cycle is done.
