How to Remove Rubber Marks From Hardwood Floor
The upkeep of hardwood floors can be very time consuming. When you are already responsible for cleaning and polishing your floors, the last thing that you want to see is marks on your beautiful floor. Some marks are easier to get out than others. Rubber marks are pretty common to find on hardwood floors, typically from shoe scuffs or children's toys. There are a few simple solutions to removing these unwanted marks.
Option 1

Wipe the rubber marks with a wet sponge.

Rub a tennis ball across the rubber marks, going with the grain of the wood.

Repeat if necessary.
Option 2

Mix 1 tsp. baking soda with a small amount of water.

Rub the baking soda mixture into the marks, using a toothbrush.

Wipe with a wet sponge.

- Toothpaste can be used as a substitute for baking soda in Option 2. Do not use water; use toothpaste only.
