Measure the length and width of the roof. Multiply the two measurements together to determine the total square footage and figure out how much TPO will be needed for installation.
Line up the first roll of the self-adhering [TPO roofing](https://homesteadycom/facts-5631174-tpo-roofing-html) membrane at the corner of the roof and begin rolling it out. Continue rolling across the roof until the entire strip has been completely covered.
Push down on the corner with your hands on any areas that are sticking up from the roof. Move along until the entire bottom section of the first row is complete.
Butt the second row right up to the top of the first row and install it in the same manner. Roll out the TPO roofing and make sure to push down firmly so the self-adhesive roll can properly adhere to the roof.
Continue down the second row until it is complete. Install the third row in the exact same manner and continue until the entire roof has been covered.
Inspect the roof to make sure there are no gaps and everything has been covered completely. Check for seams between the layers of roofing and verify that the roofing is secure on the roof.
Roll over the edges and seams with a roofing roller to adhere the roofing to the surface of the roof. Move the roller with your hand in a straight motion back and forth over all the seams and edges to smooth it out.
Go over any bubbles that may have surfaced to push them back down. Work up and down and side to side across the entire surface of the roof.
Continue until the roof is completely smoothed out.
Walk the roof from side to side and run your hands over the surface to check for any smaller bubbles that may not be easiiy visible. Run the roofing roller over the bubbles if there are any to smooth out the roof.
