How to Clean the Excalibur Dehydrator

The Excalibur Dehydrator has a series of hard plastic trays that sit inside the base unit.
A mesh screen protects each tray from residue buildup. The dehydrator's front door, made of the same hard plastic, encloses the unit for dehydrating. When finished with dehydrating, clean both the trays and the screens to prevent buildup. Clean the unit's door as often as you like or just when you start to notice residue or dirt on it.

Step 1

Unplug the power cord. Place the Excalibur trays in the top rack of your dishwasher and run them through a regular washing cycle. After washing, remove the trays from the dishwasher and wipe with a soft cloth until dry.

Step 2

Wipe the trays with a cloth dampened with water and a mild detergent, if you prefer to hand-wash your trays (the power cord should still be unplugged). Rinse well and dry with a soft cloth before placing back into the dehydrator.

Step 3

Soak the mesh screens in warm water in the sink for a few minutes. Spray with water to rinse and remove any leftover residue.

Step 4

Wipe the dehydrator door with a wet damp sponge or soft cloth to remove dirt and residue.
