Apply a thin line of construction adhesive along the top, back and side edges of the crown molding corner sections. Press corner sections into each corner of the room.
Secure corner sectionss of crown molding with painter's tape. Apply a strip of painter's tape over each corner section to secure it along the ceiling and the wall.
Apply a line of construction adhesive to the top and back edges of the crown molding. Apply a thin amount of construction adhesive to the end that will be placed onto the corner.
Press the crown molding onto the wall, lining up the end with the corner section. Press firmly along the entire length of molding.
Secure crown molding in place using painter's tape. Allow six to 10 inches of painter's tape to cling to the ceiling area as well as the wall area to secure it in place.
Apply painter's tape every two feet along the length of the crown molding.
Install crown molding around the remaining perimeter of the room. Apply a line of construction adhesive to the top and back edges of each section of crown molding and press along the ceiling and wall edges.
Line up each additional crown molding section to the edge of the section installed before. If you are starting a new wall, line up the end of the crown molding with the corner section and press molding against the wall and ceiling line.
Secure each section in place with painter's tape. Remove painter's tape after 24 hours in order to allow construction adhesive to dry completely and create a secure bond between the wall and the crown molding.
