How to Care for Blanco Silgranite Sinks

Mel Frank

Blanco Silgranite sinks are a high-quality, heavily durable sink made mostly of marble. Blanco Silgranite sinks can easily be cleaned and maintained, by following a few simple care instructions.

By using the right cleaners and avoiding elements that may harm the sink, your Blanco Singranite sink will remain beautiful for years to come.

Daily Cleaning

Daily buildup can easily be wiped away with a few drops of a mild soap, such as liquid dish detergent. Run a few cups of water into the sink, add a spoonful of liquid dish detergent to create soap suds, and wipe the sink with a sponge or wash cloth. Repeat daily, or as needed to keep the sink looking its best. The detergent will create a streak-free shine that will leave the sink gleaming.

To disinfect the sink, place a drain stopper in the sink, run a few cups of water, and add in a cup of distilled white vinegar. Clean the sink, faucet handles, and fixtures with the vinegar solution. This will clean, disinfect, and eliminate any odor in the sink. Clean with this vinegar solution weekly, or as needed when the sink comes into contact with raw foods and other bacteria.

Stain Removal

Blano Silgranite sinks typically resist most common stains, however sometimes tough food and residue stains can develop. In this instance, fill the sink with water, and stir in 1/4 cup of liquid bleach. Let this sit for half an hour, then drain. Sprinkle the sink with a non-abrasive cleaning agent, such as baking soda, then scrub clean with a cloth or sponge. Rinse to remove any remaining residue, and use this stain removal solution as stains develop on the sink.
