How to Kill Ants Fast
Ants can be found nearly anywhere in the world. While most ant species pose no threat to humans or animals, they can still be a big nuisance. Ants are notorious for infesting any area with food, whether it be a garden or your home. Ant infestations can be controlled quickly without the need for chemicals or pesticides.

Things You Will Need
- Instant grits
- ¼ cup active yeast
- ¼ cup sugar
- ½ cup molasses
- Bowl
- Spoon
- Pot
- Water
With a few common ingredients, you can make your own effective ant killer.
-
Sprinkle instant grits around the ant hill. If you notice an ant trail, sprinkle the grits along the trail as well. When the ants eat the grits, it will dehydrate and kill them.
-
Pour ¼ cup active yeast, ¼ cup sugar and ½ cup molasses in a bowl. Stir the ingredients thoroughly with a spoon.
-
Pour the mixture on the ground directly beside the ant colony. As the ants go to eat the mixture, some of them will get trapped and drown. The ants that escape from the mixture will soon die, as the yeast will produce gas which ants aren't capable of expelling.
-
Bring a pot of water to a full rolling boil. Pour the boiling water down the ant hill to kill off any remaining ants.
