How to Clean Matte Stainless Steel

  • Lint-free cloths

Stainless steel with a matte finish is incorporated into many modern interior home designs, as it provides an elegant finish for cabinetry and appliances.  Many home accessories are also made of matte stainless steel, and when you've got a number of surfaces around the home made of this material, it is important to know how to properly care for and safely clean the steel surfaces.

  1. Fill a spray bottle with 2 cups white vinegar.
  2. Spray the vinegar directly onto your matte stainless steel.
  3. Wipe the steel with a damp, lint-free cloth to remove soil and the vinegar.
  4. Buff the stainless steel with a dry, lint-free cloth to remove moisture and prevent streaks from drying onto the matte steel.
