Things You Will Need

  • Dish soap
  • Sponge

Fortunately, cleaning you shower pan correctly does not take much time or effort.

  1. Dampen a sponge with some water and then pour a quarter-sized amount of regular dish soap onto the sponge. Squeeze the sponge a few times until a lather appears.

  2. Use the sponge to scrub the shower pan. Regular dirt and buildup should come off fairly easy, but if you are having trouble with persistent stains or soap scum, you may need to use a scouring pad.

  3. Turn on your shower and let it rinse the shower pan. Once all the dirt and buildup has washed down the drain, turn off the water.

Warnings

It is very important not to use regular household cleaners on acrylic shower pans, as they can damage the finish due to their acidic or basic properties.
