How to Set the Clock on a Viking Oven

Tamara Runzel

Viking ovens are incredibly useful in the kitchen. The brand is the first commercial-type oven designed for home use. Fred Carl Jr. came up with his first design while building a new home in 1980.

Set the clock before you use your Viking oven.

Carl developed an oven that features high-performance cooking, heavy-duty construction, large capacity and professional styling, automatic ignition, in-the-oven broiling, convenient controls, and insulation to decrease the heat output into the kitchen. However, before taking advantage of any of these features, you must set the clock on your Viking oven.

Electric Digital Display

  1. Press the “Clock” button on your Viking oven. You should see “12:00” displayed on the clock with the word “Set” in the upper right corner.

  2. Turn the “Set” knob under the clock until the correct time shows.

  3. Push the “Clock” button again. The word “SET” should disappear and your time is set.

Electric Analog Display

  1. Press and hold the “timer” and “bake hours” buttons at the same time.

  2. Turn the “Set” knob until you see the correct time on the digital clock.

  3. Release the buttons. The analog clock should now show the correct time.

Built-in Electric Touch Control

  1. Press the “Upper Oven” or “Lower Oven” to select which clock you want to set.

  2. Push the “Clock Set” button under the time display and the word "CLOCK" will begin to flash on the time display.

  3. Type the correct time on the keypad to the right of the display.

  4. Press “Clock Set” again to set the clock.

Combi Steam/Convection Oven

  1. Press and turn the center knob, labeled “Push to Start/Enter,” until “<Set clock>” appears in the text display at the far right side of your oven display.

  2. Press the “Enter” knob to confirm the clock selection.

  3. Turn the top until the correct time is displayed. You can turn the knob to the right or to the left to get to the time you want. The time will show in the display above the “Timer” button.

  4. Press the “Enter” knob again to confirm the time.

  5. Push the “Off” button to exit.
