Can Leather Boots Be Scotchguarded?
Leather boots can become damaged if you wear them often, due to spills, scratches and inclement weather. However, you can use Scotchgard to help protect your boots and keep them looking new.
Identification
Using Scotchgard on your leather boots helps increase the water repellency of the material. According to 3M, protecting leather keeps it drier, newer looking and cleaner for a longer period of time.
Use
To apply Scotchgard to your boots, simply spray a small amount on the leather. You can use it on leather pants and furniture as well.
Function
When leather is protected with Scotchgard, it prevents moisture and stains from penetrating the material. Scotchgard will allow your boots to withstand more cleanings and helps the fabric to remain breathable.
