Open all windows and doors. This will get the air moving around in the affected area.

Pour vinegar into a shallow bowl and place it in the area for 24 hours.

Place three to four pieces of charcoal on a towel or in a bowl. Place the bowl in the affected area for 24 hours. The charcoal will absorb the odor.

Scatter baking soda over carpet and furniture. Allow the baking soda to sit for 1 to 2 hours and vacuum.
