How to Polish White Metal
Commercial metal polish can often contain strong chemicals and harsh abrasives that can be too strong to use on specialty metal furniture or sculptures, such as those created with white metal. Instead of using premade metal polish, create your own homemade polish using gentle, yet effective substances.
Although these substances will clean and shine the white metal, it will not scratch or damage it in the process.
Things You Will Need
- White flour
- White vinegar
- Table salt
- Bowl
- Soft cloth
- Washcloth

Combine 1 cup of flour, 1/2 cup of table salt and 1 cup of white vinegar into a bowl. MIx well with a spoon until the substances are completely combined.

Spread the mixture onto the white metal furniture or object using a soft cloth.

Allow the mixture to remain on the white metal for 10 minutes. Then rub the mixture around using small, circular motions.

Wipe off the mixture using a wet washcloth. Allow to dry completely, or use a soft cloth to dry. Repeat as necessary.
