Things You Will Need
Limestone coatings can be set on top of finished concrete or damp concrete to give your home an extravagant feel.
-
Mix the limestone coating with the proper amount of water for the amount of the coating you’re going to use. Mix the coating in a bucket or wheelbarrow.
-
Dampen the concrete surface if it’s already set and rinse off any dirt or debris.
-
Apply the limestone slurry mixture on top of the concrete. Thin the mixture out until it is between ¼ inch to 1 inch thick, and evenly thick on all areas. Use the trowel to apply the limestone mixture.
-
Allow the limestone to dry for 24 hours or longer until it is completely set.
-
Rub the 150- to 200-grit sandpaper on the surface. Polish the limestone until it’s evenly smooth.
