Before seeking professional help or replacing the device, try to solve the issue yourself with a few, simple troubleshooting techniques.

  1. Check to see if the plumbing bypass valve is in the appropriate position. If it is in the bypass position, switch it to the service position.

  2. Check to see if the plumbing is installed backwards. If it is, disconnect it and reconnect it appropriately, following the arrows on the device.

  3. Check to see whether or not the sensor is receiving a signal from the turbine. Carefully remove the sensor from the device and place a magnet on the chip–if the waterMizer light glows green this means that the sensor is working and that there is probably dirt or something obstructing the turbine. Wipe the turbine with a damp cloth or remove the obstruction if this is the case.

No Soft Water After Regeneration

  1. Check to see whether or not there is salt in the brine cabinet or if there is something clogging it. Add salt to the brine cabinet or remove the obstruction clogging it.

  2. Check to see if a salt bridge, or salt buildup, has formed in the brine cabinet. If there is hardened salt buildup in the cabinet, use a blunt object to break and dislodge the hardened salt.

  3. Check to see if the drain line is pinched, twisted or frozen. If it is pinched or twisted, simply straighten and untangle it. If the line is frozen, remove it from the device and let it thaw before replacing it.

Excess Water in Brine Tank

  1. Check to ensure the brine line, brine line flow and air check are not clogged. If they are, remove the obstruction from them and clean the brine cabinet.

  2. Check to see if the injector assembly is clogged. If it is, clean it or replace it completely if it is severely clogged. Contact the distributor you got your device from for replacement parts.

  3. Check to see if the brine refill valve needs lubricating. If it appears to be sticking or malfunctioning, remove it from the device, lubricate it with silicone grease and then install it back in place.
