How to Troubleshoot a Bosch Axxis Dryer Drain Light
The "Drain" light located on the control panel of your Bosch Axxis ventless dryer tells you if the drainage system is blocked by lint or other debris.
Unlike vented dryers, which release moisture from clothes through the exhaust, Axxis ventless dryers condense the moisture into a liquid and release it into the plumbing. You might find the dryer stops working and refuses to begin a new cycle if the "Drain" light is glowing.
-
Move the dryer away from the wall and locate the condensate hose running to a nearby sink or standpipe. Disconnect the hose from the back of the dryer and check inside for clumps of lint. Small blockages may cause a problem if the pump is unable to eject the water.
-
Straighten out any kinks in the condensate line and ensure the appliance is standing on its own legs and not on a piece of the piping. Routing the line around a tight corner to reach the drain might cause a reduction in water flow severe enough to trigger the "Drain" light.
-
Have the drain pump inspected by a professional technician for blockages. The washing machine forces water out of the appliance with the help of a pump. Dirt and other debris can sometimes clog the pump and cause it to have trouble draining. Pump blockages also trigger the "Drain" warning light.
