Before trying to remove the stain, read the washing instructions printed on the pillow tag. Washing machines can damage certain types of pillows such as foam and latex.
-
Lay the pillow on a flat surface with the sweat stains facing up.
-
Fill a small container with equal parts of 3 percent hydrogen peroxide and water. Stir the contents together with a spoon.
-
Dip the corner of a clean sponge in the mixture and wring out excess liquid. Blot the sweat stain with the damp sponge until the stain is saturated.
-
Let the mixture sit on the pillow for 30 minutes. If the pillow is washable, launder it on the gentle cycle with 1/4 cup of laundry detergent. If the pillow is not washable, rinse the mixture off the pillow by blotting the surface with a damp cloth. Pat dry with a towel.
