How to Program the 24-Hour Security Timer EJ351C by Intermatic
A light timer is useful for turning lights on or off in a room even if you’re not in the room or at home. The Intermatic 24-hour security timer, model EJ351C, allows you to program the timer manually or automatically. The cycle you set repeats every 24 hours.
Manually Program
Step 1
Move the control lever at the top of the switch to the “Off-Clear” position for 20 seconds. The red indicator light above the lever goes off.
Step 2
Slide the control lever back to the “On” position. The red indicator light starts flashing.
Step 3
Turn the time-dial clockwise at least one click until you are at the half-hour nearest your current time.
Step 4
Press the dial to set the time. The indicator light goes off.
Step 5
Twist the dial clockwise to the first time that you want the light to turn on.
Step 6
Press the dial to enter the first time. The light controlled by the switch turns on.
Step 7
Rotate the dial clockwise to the time you want the light off.
Step 8
Press the dial to enter the off time. The light controlled by the switch turns off.
Step 9
Repeat Steps 5 through 8 for each time that you want the light to turn on and off.
Step 10
Turn the dial until the indicator light turns on and remains on.
Automatically Program
Step 1
Slide the control lever to the “Off-Clear” position for 20 seconds. The red indicator light above the lever turns off and any previous settings are cleared.
Step 2
Move the control lever to the “On” position. The indicator light starts flashing.
Step 3
Press the dial each time you want to turn the light controlled by the switch on and off for 24 hours. The switch will store the settings you use in that first 24 hours. Do not use an actual light switch during this time.
Step 4
Watch for the red indicator light to remain on. Once it does, the timer is in automatic mode.
