How to Clean a Bosch EcoSense Dishwasher
Cleaning a Bosch EcoSense Dishwasher is an easy task that takes less than an hour. For best results, the Bosch EcoSense Dishwasher should be cleaned once a month. Cleaning the dishwasher requires a few basic supplies, all of which may be found at your local grocery store.
Empty the hard-food filter basket in the Bosch EcoSense. The basket is inside the dishwasher below the bottom dish rack. To access the basket, pull out the bottom dish rack. With one hand, turn the basket to the right about 45 degrees and pull out the basket. Discard any debris and wash the basket with soapy water and a sponge. Do not use steel wool on the plastic basket. Replace the filter basket, matching the arrow on the basket to the arrow on the dishwasher.
Pull out the dishwasher racks according to the manufacturer's instructions and wash them with a mildly soapy sponge and rinse clean with warm water. Depending on the size of your kitchen sink, washing the Bosch EcoSense dishwasher racks may be easier done in the bathtub.
Remove the Bosch EcoSense spray arms and heads according to the manufacturer's instructions. Wash them gently in warm, soapy water followed by a clean-water rinse. Return the spray arms and heads to the dishwasher.
Remove the Bosch EcoSense utensil tray or utensil basket and wash gently with warm soapy water and a sponge. Return the utensil tray or utensil basket to the dishwasher after cleaning.
Gently clean the outside of the Bosch EcoSense dishwasher. Stainless steel models should be cleaned with stainless steel cleaner and a clean, dry cloth Black and white models should be cleaned with a simple solution of one part white vinegar and three parts warm water. Dry with a clean dry cloth Models with custom panels should be cleaned according to the cabinet manufacturer's instructions.
Pour baking soda into the base of an empty dishwasher once a month to deodorize the dishwasher and its drain. Run the dishwasher on its shortest cycle to perform that task.
