Sunbeam Heated Mattress Pad Instructions

Andy Jackson

A heated mattress pad provides an added level of comfort by keeping you warm on cold nights. Heated mattress pads also allow you to keep heating costs down because you can turn the furnace down overnight and use the heated pad instead. Heated pads also keep your muscles warm to prevent morning stiffness. Sunbeam heated mattress pads come in both single- and dual-controller models and are available through online retailers and at brick-and-mortar stores.

Step 1

Place the mattress pad on your bed, label side up, with the label at the foot of the bed. Stretch the ends and sides of the pad over your mattress like a fitted sheet.

Step 2

Click the plug to the control module into the receptacle at the end of the mattress pad, next to the label. Make sure you hear a "click" which signals the plug is firmly in place.

Step 3

Run the control module beneath the bed to the head of the bed. For single-controller pads, put the controller on the right side of the bed. For dual-controller pads, put one controller on either side of the bed.

Step 4

Plug the electrical cord into the wall outlet or a power strip. Put your sheets and other bedding onto your bed.

Step 5

Set the controller to the desired temperature level. Adjust the temperature to your individual comfort level, as needed.
