How to Find Pictures of a Property
You don't have to be sitting in front of a piece of property to find out what it looks like. You may want to find a picture if you're reminiscing about the house you grew up in or are thinking of making a land purchase. As long as you have access to the Internet, you can find pictures of any property (along with the homes and buildings built on the property).
-
Use Google Street View. Go to the main Google Maps website and type the address for the property you want to view. This will display an overhead map of the property on screen. Click the "Street View" button to view images of the property taken from street level by Google's own Street View trucks that travel around the world.
-
Contact the realty company that is in charge of selling the property (if applicable). If you're trying to find pictures of a piece of property that you're thinking of buying, use the telephone number listed in the online or print listing or on the sign in front of the home on the property, to contact the realty agent in charge. This agent will be able to provide you with detailed pictures of the property.
-
Go to the website of the county assessor's office for the county where the property is located. If the website has an online search, type the address into the online search and view public documents relating to the property. Pictures will likely be among these documents. If the assessor's office has no public search, travel to the address listed on the website and view the public records and associated pictures in person.
