How to Hang a Dry Erase Board
Dry erase boards are very useful in either a home or classroom environment. You can use them to teach lessons in a classroom, leave quick messages for your family or create shopping lists. Hanging a dry erase board is easy and takes just a few minutes.
Things You Will Need
- Nail or plastic anchor
- Hammer
-
Choose a location for your dry erase board that meets your needs. For example, if you are using it at home, consider placing it near the phone so you and your family can use it to take down phone messages.
-
Position a small nail or plastic anchor against the wall at a 45 degree angle to the wall. Choose a secure portion of the wall that is not hollowed out or brittle. Position the nail so the board will hang at eye-level.
-
Gently hammer the nail halfway into the wall.
-
Prop the dry erase board against the nail. Most boards have a hole in the top of the frame so you can hang it from a nail or picture hook. If there is no hole, rest the edge of the board frame on the nail.
Tip
You can also use a picture hook to hang certain types of dry erase boards as well. It's the same procedure except you nail the hook into the wall and insert the hook into the back of the erase board.
