Unplug the vacuum cleaner and unzip the outer bag.

Put on gloves to avoid direct contact with the contents of the vacuum's bag, as it can cause skin irritation. Optionally, wear protective face mask on to avoid inhaling dust and bacteria.

Remove the old dirt filter bag and place it in a trash bag.

Expand a new vacuum bag, and insert it into the vacuum cleaner's outer bag. Secure the bag onto the hose inside the vacuum bag to ensure vacuumed content goes directly into the filter bag rather than the outer bag.

Zip the vacuum bag up, and plug the power cable into a power outlet.

Replace the filter bag every two weeks if your vacuum cleaner is used frequently, or on a monthly basis if used irregularly.

Sprinkle 1 to 2 tsp. of baking soda in the outer bag of the vacuum cleaner to neutralize residual odors.
