Step 1

Place the item you want to be sealed into the FoodSaver vacuum-sealing bag. Leave at least 3 inches between the top of the bag and the item being sealed.

Step 2

Plug in the FoodSaver V3825 vacuum sealer and press the "Power" button to turn the appliance on.

Step 3

Insert the open end of the vacuum-sealing bag into the vacuum slot on the front of the vacuum sealer. The vacuum sealer's automatic sensor will detect the bag; the device will then clamp down on it, and the vacuum progress lights will light up.

Step 4

Hold the bag until the vacuum pump starts. After the pump starts, you may let go of the bag. The device will begin to suck the air out of the bag and seal it. You may stop the vacuuming process and seal the bag at any time by pressing the "Seal/Stop" button.

Step 5

Remove the bag from the appliance when the red "Seal" light turns off. Store the bag in the refrigerator or freezer to best preserve the food inside.
