The odor normally does not last and fades within a few weeks, but you can speed up the time it takes to free your memory foam of the offensive smell by using odor absorbents and purifying the air.
Things You Will Need

Open windows to ventilate the room of memory foam odors. Direct a fan at the foam so the smell is transported out the window.

Place an air purifier in the room and allow it to run for two to three days. The purifier filters the air as it passes through, removing the offensive smell.

Change bedsheets every other night for as long as the smell remains. The smell absorbs into the sheets, which need to be washed to remove the odor.

Fill a small spray bottle 3/4 full with water. Fill the bottle with white vinegar until full. Lightly mist the memory foam with the vinegar solution. The vinegar neutralizes the smell. Mist the foam daily until it no longer gives off an odor. Do not put the bedsheets on the memory foam mattress until it has dried.

Place 2 to 3 cups of kitty litter under the bed or in a corner of the room. The kitty litter absorbs the odor from the memory foam.
